SmartestEnergy Business appoints Zoe Spurgeon as Acting CEO

SmartestEnergy Business has appointed Zoe Spurgeon as Acting CEO. Zoe joined SmartestEnergy UK in 2021 as Vice President of Operations and has since played an instrumental role in delivering the company’s UK C&I and Generation growth strategies, while ensuring operational excellence and leading significant transformation programmes. 

In her new role, Zoe will focus on supporting small and medium-sized businesses in switching to better energy deals and making renewable energy simple and affordable. She will also continue building strong relationships with partners who have been instrumental to the company’s success and is well placed to help drive the next stage of the company’s growth strategy. 

Zoe brings significant experience from her time at SmartestEnergy, where she has helped shape the business through a period of growth and transformation. Her leadership across operations and strategic delivery has supported the business in meeting the needs of customers and partners in a changing energy market.
